The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities overseas, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as a market that would grow for bidet and washlet toilet seats, as opposed its "base" markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure the future generations would be able to read the words. Many words were substituted with foreign words. For example dui, which was Bengali for verandah was being used.
Origins
The early history of Toto that began in 1917, was a reflection of Japan's rapid economic expansion. In the beginning, Toto manufactured products to meet the demands for modern, brand new urban housing. To accomplish this, it employed the first tunnel kiln in the nation to produce ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered automation for production control, which helps to increase efficiency and a more consistent production.
In the late 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to take advantage of sales and new markets. The company founded the Cera Trading Company to import and market other products of other manufacturers in order to expand its range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped increase sales and increased the firm's global market share.
In the 90s, Toto began focusing on research and development of water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better serve its customers and boost profits. The company embraced a just-in time method of managing supply chains, and it used the same approach in its sales program. This led to a higher level of customer satisfaction.
Toto has been able to continue to innovate in the toilet technology. The latest toilet from the company features a strong, eco-friendly tornado flush. The company uses recycled water in its manufacturing process and also has a green purchasing policy. Apart from toilets, Toto manufactures bathtubs and faucets, as well as hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than standard models.
The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It features exhibits on Toto’s seminal products and their evolution, the group companies (all of which are made from ceramics), the history of plumbing, and even bath units. In an additional gallery, you can view Toto products that are sold throughout. The museum also has a bathroom that includes a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.
Before the formation of Toto the members of the group performed session work for a variety of musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich and guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather as well as drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name as evocative as Asia you'd think that the group would be prog kings and queens - but it's actually a fairly simple rock band. The group was formed as a four-piece and released two albums in 1979, the self-titled debut album and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a diverse musical background, but their greatest success was in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, but it was not without its share of problems. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to deliver an album that was a success or they would rescind the album. Luckily for Toto they delivered, with the help of the smash hit single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is a result of their previous experiences. Before joining the group, members worked as session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their distinctive sound has become the norm for '80s pop, influencing many modern artists.
The album begins hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write great AOR songs that slowly sink into your head. The album also features more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album concludes with Great Expectations, a song that mixes folk with distortion AOR and sounds totally wrong, but works wonderfully well.
After Toto IV the band's fortunes started to plummet. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band was through numerous drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the aftermath of drug-related charges. However, the band continued as a trio, which included Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite 토토사이트 순위 , Toto forged ahead and released Isolation, which was not as successful as IV. The band managed to release a chart-topping album, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked the conclusion of the original Toto lineup and was the first album to feature the new singer, Simon Phillips.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was a return to a classic sextet format, and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort with a harder edge. The more experimental sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the development of the group. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and mature. David Paich's work was more refined, sharper and less cloned earlier efforts.
After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live concert in Amsterdam that was released as a set of two CDs called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. A new studio album followed a few months later, and the band embarked on a long-distance tour in support of it. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began exploring old tapes and demos to find songs that hadn't been recorded prior to. It was completed in 2001 and released as a double album titled Then & Now. It was the band's first album that did not contain a single song titled "A". The album also included a previously unreleased track called "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was an uncommercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis, which limited his singing ability. In addition, Hungate returned to Nashville, while drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes along with the other members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened an event in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility of reforming the band. This lineup, minus Howe (who was a member of Yes at the time) was eventually referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured a guest appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
